The denomination numeral '75' appears in the upper corners within decorative panels, and the Gothic-script heading 'Gutschein für den Kreis Diepholz' arches across the top. A serial number, issue date of 28 September 1921, and two manuscript signatures — Vorsitzender Lohaus and Direktor Braunskaup — appear in the lower register alongside the issuer name 'Kreissparkasse Diepholz'. |

Kreissparkasse Diepholz was one of hundreds of German district savings banks that issued Notgeld during the hyperinflationary spiral of the early 1920s, when small-denomination coinage had effectively vanished from circulation. The 75 Pfennig denomination is specific to this crisis window — an odd value that would have made no sense outside of it.
Casten & Suhling were a Bremen commercial printer, not a specialist security firm. Their involvement here reflects how desperate and decentralized emergency currency production had become by 1921.
