| Obverse description | The national coat of arms of Panama is centrally displayed, featuring a quartered shield with crossed swords and rifle in the upper-left canton, a spade and pickaxe in the upper-right canton, a cornucopia in the lower-left canton, and a winged wheel over the Isthmus of Panama in the lower-right canton. A harpy eagle with outstretched wings surmounts the shield, clutching a banner bearing the national motto PRO MUNDI BENEFICIO. Nine stars arc above the eagle, and two additional stars flank the shield at mid-field. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE PANAMA arcs along the upper rim, while the denomination 75 BALBOAS is prominently inscribed along the lower rim, with the fineness mark 500/1000 ORO FINO appearing in small text just above it. |
