| Beschrijving voorzijde | The national arms of Equatorial Guinea occupy the central field, depicting a shield bearing a silk-cotton tree (Ceiba pentandra), flanked by the date 19-93 to either side. A ribbon below the shield bears the national motto UNIDAD JUSTICIA PAZ, with the fineness mark 999 above. Six six-pointed stars arc above the shield. The circular legend REPUBLICA DE GUINEA ECUATORIAL runs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 7000 FRANCOS is inscribed along the lower border. The entire design is enclosed within a beaded inner border and a reeded outer rim. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Equatorial Guinea's run of speculative collector issues in the early 1990s had little to do with domestic monetary policy and everything to do with the international novelty coin market. The country, a CFA franc zone member, contracted foreign minting houses to produce themed issues — dinosaurs among them — that were never intended to circulate and were sold almost entirely to overseas dealers and thematic collectors.
KM#148 is one of several Allosaurus-themed pieces from this period. The denomination is fictitious in practical terms: 7,000 CFA francs had no meaningful relationship to the coin's actual cost or distribution.
