| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Francis I of Lorraine facing right, rendered in high relief with flowing periwig and lace cravat. The effigy occupies the majority of the field, with the hair elaborately curled in the Baroque court style. A continuous Latin legend surrounds the bust, commencing at approximately 8 o'clock and reading clockwise. The coin's milled border frames the composition neatly. |

| Reverse description | Crowned double-headed imperial eagle displayed in the centre of the field, with wings spread and each head facing outward. The date and the motto legend IN TE DOMINE SPERAVI appear around the design within the milled border. |
