正面描述 Central field occupied by a multi-line Arabic legend arranged within an ornate floral rosette or cartouche, displaying the denomination '6½' and the name and title of Ottoman Sultan Abdulmecid I ('Sultan Al-Ghazi Abdulmecid Khan'). The entire central device is framed by a decorative wreath of palm or olive branches radiating outward to the coin's rim, lending the composition a characteristic Ottoman-Tunisian aesthetic. The lettering is raised in relief against a recessed field, rendered in the thin-legend style characteristic of this subtype.

背面描述 The reverse presents a three-line Arabic legend in the central field, citing the name of the Tunisian Bey Muhammad II and the mint city Tunis, with the Hijri date 1272 inscribed below. The inscription is enclosed within a prominent wreath of olive or laurel branches that encircles the entire field, tied at the base with a decorative knot or floral ornament, consistent with the typology of mid-19th-century Tunisian copper coinage. The raised lettering is clearly delineated against the plain recessed field, in the thin-legend style.

附加信息

The 6½ Nasri denomination is itself a peculiarity — a fractional value tied to the local accounting system in which the Tunisian piastre divided unevenly against Ottoman monetary conventions. By the mid-1850s, the Beylik was navigating genuine fiscal strain: the Fundamental Pact of 1857 was months away, and Tunisian coinage was quietly being displaced in commercial transactions by French and Italian silver. Copper issues of this period circulated hard and low, and survivors in decent condition are less common than their modest prestige suggests.
