| Beschrijving voorzijde | The obverse presents the standing figure of Saint Mark the Evangelist at left, nimbed and robed, extending a gonfalon staff toward the kneeling Doge Lodovico Manin at right, who receives the banner in a posture of feudal submission. The Doge is shown in full ducal regalia, wearing the characteristic corno ducale. A patriarchal cross surmounts the central staff dividing the two figures. The legend LUDOV·MANIN· S·M·VENET· DVX is distributed around the periphery, with DVX inscribed vertically on the banner in the central field. |
