The peripheral circular legend IN HOC SIGNO VINCES is distributed around the rim, punctuated by small ornamental stops between the words. A milled border frames the entire composition. The execution is consistent with the characteristic Portuguese colonial silver coinage style of the 18th century, with bold relief on the cross and crisp lettering throughout. |
