| Obverse description | Crowned provincial arms of Utrecht, flanked by foliate sprigs, with the denomination '6 S' displayed in the field on either side of the shield. The date 1681 appears above the crown. The legend encircles the central design and is presented in Latin capitals. The overall style is characteristic of Dutch provincial hammered coinage of the late seventeenth century, with a somewhat irregular flan typical of piedfort issues. |
