The date 1683 is split across the upper portion of the legend. A circular countermark, applied as a plug or stamp, is visible in the right field of the coin. The encircling Latin legend reads MO · NO · ARG · ORD · GRON ET OML, separated by lozenge stops, running along a milled or grained border. |

| Descripción del reverso | A fully armoured knight on horseback charging to the right, brandishing an upraised sword in his right hand, rendered in a dynamic baroque style typical of Dutch provincial coinage of the late seventeenth century. The horse is depicted in a vigorous gallop with flowing mane and tail. A countermark consisting of a bundle of arrows — the symbol of the United Provinces — is applied to the reverse field. The surrounding Latin legend CONCORDIA RES PARVAE CRESCVNT ('By concord small things grow') runs along the inner border of the coin. |
