| Beschrijving keerzijde | The reverse displays the full royal arms of Spain as used under Charles IV, centrally positioned within an ornate shield bearing the quartered arms of Castile and León, with the Granada pomegranate in base. The shield is flanked by the Pillars of Hercules, each surmounted by a crown and wrapped with a flowing ribbon bearing the motto PLUS VLTRA. A royal crown surmounts the entire achievement. The circumferential legend identifies the issuing authority and denomination, with the Mexico City mint mark (Mo), assayer initials, and the denomination 8R clearly legible around the periphery. |
