| Beschrijving voorzijde | Draped and armored bust of King Frederik IV of Denmark facing right, wearing a flowing allonge wig rendered in elaborate baroque style with richly curled locks cascading over the shoulders. The king's cuirass is ornamented with a decorative pauldron and a lion-head clasp at the base of the truncation. A circular Latin legend surrounds the effigy along the raised border, reading FRID • IIII • D • G • REX • DAN • NOR • V • G, identifying the monarch as Frederik IV, King of Denmark and Norway by the Grace of God. The portrait is executed in high relief with strong artistic detail characteristic of the Copenhagen Mint's early eighteenth-century engraving tradition. |

| Beschrijving keerzijde | Central device depicting the crowned lion of Norway passant rampant to the right, holding a crescent-bladed halberd (bardisan) in its forepaw, set within a beaded inner circle above the date 1704 and flanked by the denomination mark '6' to the left and 'M' to the right. A continuous Danish-language commemorative legend in two concentric registers encircles the central device, celebrating the virtues of loyalty, bravery, and the fame of the Norwegian people throughout the entire world. The inscription reads: AERE • MOD • TROSKAB • DAPPERHED • OG • HVAD • DER • GIVER • KLIPPER • LÆRE • DEN • HEELE • VERDEN • KAND • BLANT • NORSKE. The reverse commemorates King Frederik IV's royal visit to Norway in 1704 and was struck as a so-called Rejsedaler (travel dollar) to mark the occasion. |
