Obverse description Draped bust of Count Francis Xavier of Montfort facing right, wearing a wig with long curled locks and armored or decorated mantle, with a heraldic shield visible at the truncation. The circumferential Latin legend reads FRA.XAV.COM.IN.MONTF., distributed around the periphery of the field. The rim is decorated with a fine toothed border. The portrait is rendered in the Baroque court style typical of mid-18th century German princely coinage.

Reverse description Central field features the crowned arms of the County of Montfort, a quartered shield surmounted by a comital crown and supported by ornamental mantling. The date 1759 is split across the lower field with the denomination numeral 6 interposed between the two halves of the date, reading 17 (6) 59. The circumferential legend MONTF.MUNZ. appears in Latin script around the upper portion of the coin, separated by stops. A toothed border frames the entire design.
