| Reverse description | The central device features the coat of arms of Saint-Raphaël, depicting an angel holding a child, set within a radiating sun motif. The denomination '6 EURO' appears prominently, with the legend 'EURO DE St RAPHAEL EN FRANCE' distributed around the field. The lower portion of the reverse bears the validity inscription 'VALABLE DU 13 AU 21 AVRIL 96', confirming the token's restricted period of circulation. |

| Additional information |
Saint-Raphaël's 6-euro issue belongs to the wave of French municipal currency produced in the mid-1990s under the "euro de ville" program, in which hundreds of communes minted their own denominations ahead of the single currency's introduction — partly as civic promotion, mostly as a revenue stream from collectors. The odd denomination was deliberate: six francs at the then-approximate conversion rate, giving local merchants a pretext to accept them at par while the pieces rarely left souvenir drawers.
