The circular Latin legend reading IOHANN WILH D G C P R S R I A T & EL D B I C & M runs along the outer rim, identifying Elector John William by his full titles. The design is executed in a bold high-relief baroque style characteristic of late seventeenth and early eighteenth century German coinage. |
