Devanagari legends fill the panels of the octagonal surround, inscribing the royal titulature of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah. The Vikrama Samvat year 2031 appears in Devanagari numerals at the base of the square frame, with the coronation legend reading 'शुभ राज्याभिषेक' (Auspicious Coronation) below in the outer field.
