Beschrijving voorzijde Central vignette presents a portrait of Yi I (1536–1584), the revered Joseon Dynasty Confucian scholar known by his pen name Yul Gok, rendered in intaglio against a fine guilloche underprint. Inscriptions in Korean above and below the portrait identify the issuing authority and denomination. The overall design employs a restrained classical style consistent with the series.
