Central vignette presents a portrait of Yi I (1536–1584), the revered Joseon Dynasty Confucian scholar known by his pen name Yul Gok, rendered in intaglio against a fine guilloche underprint. Inscriptions in Korean above and below the portrait identify the issuing authority and denomination. The overall design employs a restrained classical style consistent with the series. |

The reverse carries a vignette of Ojukheon, the historic Joseon-period residence in Gangneung regarded as Korea's oldest surviving wooden residential structure and the birthplace of Yul Gok. The architectural composition is set within a decorative guilloche border with the denomination and issuing bank name lettered in English along the lower margin. |
