背面描述 The reverse presents a detailed panoramic engraving of the town of Mikulov, divided vertically into two architectural scenes: the left half shows the Baroque façade and tower of the Church of St. Wenceslas with the synagogue complex below, while the right half depicts the richly ornamented Renaissance and Baroque burgher houses of the historic town square. The vertical bold legend MIKULOV bisects the two scenes centrally, with the inscription MĚSTO arched above to the left and the date 2022 inscribed in the lower left field. The engraver's initials appear discreetly in the lower right area of the reverse field.

附加信息

Mikulov sits at the center of one of the more consequential religious episodes in Moravian history — the town served as the headquarters of the Moravian Anabaptist movement in the 16th century and later became the seat of the Dietrichstein family, whose Cardinal Franz von Dietrichstein ran the Counter-Reformation in Moravia from the château above the town. The Czech National Bank's architectural gold series has consistently chosen subjects where the building and its political history are inseparable, and Mikulov fits that brief precisely.

The château was almost entirely destroyed by retreating German forces in April 1945 and subsequently rebuilt — a detail that complicates any romantic reading of the structure's "historic" fabric.
