| Beschrijving keerzijde | The Armenian letter Ց (Cʿ) is rendered in large, stylised form at the centre of the field, with ornate decorative filigree detailing visible within the letterform itself. The full Armenian alphabet encircles the central letter in a continuous band running around the inner periphery of the coin, presented in traditional Armenian script. A small decorative cross or floral ornament separates the beginning and end of the alphabetic legend. The overall design celebrates the Armenian written tradition established by Mesrop Mashtots. |
