| Popis líce | The rectangular obverse of this proof gold piece is designed in the style of a banknote and presents a rich, multi-layered patriotic composition. At upper left, an architectural rendering of the Gdańsk Shipyard gate is depicted, accompanied by a large bell symbolic of the Solidarity movement; in the central field, a crowd scene evoking the mass demonstrations of the Solidarity era is rendered in high relief. The Polish eagle, emblem of the Republic, appears prominently at upper centre, flanked by the legend RZECZPOSPOLITA POLSKA and the denomination PIĘĆSET ZŁOTYCH 500. At lower left the date 2021 appears, while the Solidarność logotype in its iconic script occupies the lower centre field; a ghosted portrait of Lech Kaczyński is visible in the right field.
