| Reverse description | A naturalistic depiction of a Tawny Owl (Strix aluco) with a juvenile owlet nestled beside it occupies the central field in detailed high relief, the adult bird rendered with fine feather texture and large forward-facing eyes characteristic of the species. The pair are perched on a rocky or bark surface, evoking their woodland habitat. The vertical inscription OCHRONA ŚRODOWISKA, meaning Environmental Protection, runs along the left field. The word PRÓBA, denoting trial or pattern strike, appears to the right, confirming the coin's status as a proof essay.
