| Reverse description | The large numeral '500' dominates the central field, rendered with fine horizontal line engraving within the numerals for an anti-counterfeiting latent image effect. Below the denomination appears the Japanese era date legend in kanji. Two sprigs of tachibana (mandarin orange) flank the central design at left and right within the beaded border. Small stylized bamboo ornaments appear at the top and bottom of the inner field, completing the composition. The entire design is contained within a beaded border following the coin's circumference. |
