| 正面描述 | The central field depicts an aerial panoramic view of Kujukuri Beach, Chiba Prefecture, rendered in fine detail with sweeping coastal contours and textured shoreline. The legend 日本国 (State of Japan) arcs along the upper periphery within a beaded border. To the right of centre, the prefecture name appears in both Latin script (CHIBA) and kanji (千葉県), while the denomination 五百円 (500 yen) is inscribed in the lower right field. The design effectively captures the distinctive elongated arc of one of Japan's longest sandy beaches. |

Part of the 47 Prefectures Coin Program, a multi-year Japanese Mint initiative that ran from 2008 to 2016, issuing two prefecture-themed 500 yen coins per year. Chiba Prefecture's selection for 2015 reflects the program's methodical geographic rotation rather than any particular commemorative occasion. The coins were sold in sets through Japan Post and were not intended for general circulation, which accounts for the consistently high state of preservation seen across the series.
