Obverse description The obverse features the large numeral '500' prominently displayed in the center of the field, with the word 'PETSTO' (five hundred in Slovenian) inscribed below it, followed by 'TOLARJEV' along the lower periphery. The year of issue '1993' appears above the numeral. The circular legend 'REPUBLIKA SLOVENIJA' runs along the upper rim, flanked by two six-pointed star ornaments at either side near the lower field. The design is executed in a clean, modern style with mirror-like proof fields contrasting against frosted relief elements.

Reverse description The reverse depicts a detailed bird's-eye panoramic view of the fortified town of Sisak (Sisek) as it appeared in the late sixteenth century, rendered in high relief with towers, ramparts, and surrounding waterways clearly delineated. Superimposed above the townscape is a large heraldic shield bearing the arms of Carniola, flanked by a quartered coat of arms. The historic date '1593' appears prominently above the central design, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Christian victory over the Ottoman forces at the Battle of Sisak. The curved legend 'CARNIOLAE VICTORIA SISEK' runs along the upper rim, while the engraver's name 'Adam pl. Ravbar' is inscribed in script across the lower field.
