| Reverse description | The reverse depicts a detailed bird's-eye panoramic view of the fortified town of Sisak (Sisek) as it appeared in the late sixteenth century, rendered in high relief with towers, ramparts, and surrounding waterways clearly delineated. Superimposed above the townscape is a large heraldic shield bearing the arms of Carniola, flanked by a quartered coat of arms. The historic date '1593' appears prominently above the central design, commemorating the 400th anniversary of the Christian victory over the Ottoman forces at the Battle of Sisak. The curved legend 'CARNIOLAE VICTORIA SISEK' runs along the upper rim, while the engraver's name 'Adam pl. Ravbar' is inscribed in script across the lower field. |
