| Beschrijving voorzijde | Central field features the national emblem of Mongolia — the Soyombo symbol atop a stylised representation of the state coat of arms — surrounded by radiating feather-like elements evoking a sunburst. To the left, vertical Mongolian script inscription occupies the field. The denomination '500' appears at the top and 'MONGOLIA' along the right, with 'TOGROG' inscribed at the base and the date '2005' below the emblem. The incuse legend 'Silver 999 1oz' appears at lower left. The entire design is framed by a continuous meander (Greek key) border. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Mongolia's lunar series coins of the mid-2000s were produced in both standard and gilt variants, with the gilt version struck in considerably smaller quantities — the differential mintage was never formally published by the Bank of Mongolia, making population data for the gilt type genuinely unreliable. The Rooster corresponds to the Wood Rooster year in the sexagenary cycle, 2005 by the Gregorian reckoning but carrying older cosmological weight in Mongolian and broader East Asian calendrical tradition.
