背面描述 The reverse features a bold gilt high-relief rendition of Leonardo da Vinci's celebrated equestrian sculpture concept, depicting a powerfully muscled rearing horse with an armored warrior mounted upon it, the entire composition selectively gold-plated against the mirror-polished silver square field. The legend EQUESTRIAN is incused along the upper right edge of the diamond-oriented square flan, and the date 2005 is inscribed in the lower exergual area beneath a thin horizontal line. The dynamic sculptural composition fills the field dramatically, emphasizing the Renaissance artistic source.

附加信息

This piece belongs to a broader wave of Mongolian commemorative issues from the early 2000s, when the Bank of Mongolia aggressively entered the collector coin market with themed silver rounds bearing no meaningful connection to Mongolian history or culture. The da Vinci equestrian subject almost certainly references the unfinished Gran Cavallo commission — the monumental bronze horse Leonardo designed for Ludovico Sforza in the 1480s, never cast in Leonardo's lifetime after French forces used the clay model for target practice in 1499.

KM#210a designates a variant within the type, suggesting at minimum one other finish or composition exists in the series.
