| 裏面の説明 | The oval reverse depicts a gilt-highlighted Toad-headed Agama (Phrynocephalus mystaceus) in full relief, rendered in fine detail with its characteristic fringed mouth displayed, occupying the central and right foreground against a sandy desert ground. A second lizard is shown in the left middle ground in a rearing posture. Above, a dramatic dark concave mirror effect evokes a storm sky with sculptured clouds in relief. The Kazakh species name 'ҚҰЛАҚТЫ ЖҰМЫРБАС КЕСІРТКЕ' curves along the upper rim in Cyrillic, while the scientific name 'PHRYNOCEPHALUS MYSTACEUS' is inscribed in Latin along the lower rim. |

Part of Kazakhstan's long-running wildlife series, this coin targets the frilled-neck lizard — a species entirely native to northern Australia and southern New Guinea, with no natural presence in Central Asia. Kazakhstan's national bank was among the more aggressive issuers of collectible wildlife silver in the late 2000s, frequently choosing exotic fauna with strong international collector appeal over domestically relevant subjects. The rectangular format — unusual for circulation-adjacent denominations — was a deliberate production choice to distinguish the series on the secondary market.
