背面描述 A finely engraved scene depicting a male figure, dressed in period costume of the early nineteenth century, seated on a traditional wooden sledge and descending a forest slope. He is shown three-quarter facing, grasping the sledge's curved runners, surrounded by tall coniferous trees whose branches frame the composition. Behind him, a load of logs secured by a chain is visible, evoking traditional Alpine timber-hauling activity. The highly detailed relief captures the movement and texture of the forest setting with consummate artistry. The field is otherwise unlettered, the design filling the full coin diameter to the inner rim.

附加信息

Austria's 500 Schilling silver series of the 1990s was issued in the final years before the schilling's absorption into the euro — the currency itself abolished in 2002 after over four centuries of continuous use. The Alpine foothills piece belongs to a collector-focused program that the Münze Österreich sustained through the decade largely on foreign demand, particularly from German-speaking markets outside Austria.
