| Descrizione del dritto | The obverse features the royal cypher and regnal title of King Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev, rendered in Devanagari script, arranged around a central circle containing a Trishul (trident). Flanking the central device are traditional Hindu and royal emblems in symmetrical arrangement: at upper left, the Chandra (moon); at upper right, the Surya (sun); at mid left, the Chakra (discus); at mid right, the Sankha (conch shell); at lower left, the Padma (lotus); and at lower right, the Gada (mace). The circular legend reads 'Shree Shree Shree Panch Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev' with the Bikram Sambat year 2050, corresponding to 1993 in the Gregorian calendar. The design is executed in high-relief proof style with a mirrored field. |
