Opis awersu	A traditional Maldivian dhow under full sail occupies the right portion of the note, rendered in red intaglio against an orange and peach guilloche underprint. The left margin carries an ornate vignette of a sea conch shell and tropical foliage, while the denomination numeral '500' appears at lower left. The date and two authorising signatures are inscribed in Thaana script at centre, flanked by a vertical security thread.

Opis rewersu	The Grand Friday Mosque and Islamic Centre in Malé is rendered as a full-width architectural vignette at centre, its gilded dome and minaret rising above a pale guilloche background in soft blue, green and cream tones. A decorative rose garland borders the upper left, while the denomination numeral '500' appears in bold at both lower left and upper right. The issuer's name in English runs along the lower margin in bold serif lettering.
