Opmerkingen

Qatar Central Bank's 2007 series was the first issued under that institutional name following the 2006 rebrand from Qatar Monetary Agency — a distinction with real consequence for collectors since the two parallel series share some design DNA but differ in issuing authority text. The 500 Riyal sits at the top of that series as the highest denomination.

Thomas De La Rue printed the note in London, as they have handled Qatari currency production across multiple series. The color-shifting ink on this denomination is applied to a specific numeral panel, a feature typically reserved for the top value in any given series and notably absent from lower denominations in the same 2007 issue.
