The shield is flanked by symmetrical foliate branches — an olive branch to the left and an oak branch to the right — tied together at the base with a ribbon bow. The word PROVA appears in the upper field above the crown, and the denomination 500 REIS is inscribed along the lower exergual area in bold Roman capitals. |
