The cypher is encircled by the Garter belt bearing the motto HONI SOIT QUI MAL Y PENSE, and the entire central composition is framed by branches of English oak. The commemorative dates 1926 and 2026 appear flanking the design to mark the centenary of Queen Elizabeth II's birth, with the Latin motto EXALTABITUR IN GLORIA inscribed below.
