| Obverse description | The obverse features a large circular color-printed insert at centre depicting a panoramic Bhutanese landscape, showing a rocky mountain river in the foreground with lush coniferous forest and mist-shrouded mountains rising beneath a blue sky with white clouds in the background. The color insert is framed by a finely engraved decorative border of scrolling cloud and floral motifs rendered in relief on the polished silver field. The legend KINGDOM OF BHUTAN arcs along the upper periphery in raised Latin letters, while the date 2025 appears in the lower field beneath the central insert. A row of small raised dots runs along the inner rim at the base of the legend. |

Bhutan's lunar series issues are produced under the authority of the Royal Monetary Authority, established in 1982 as the kingdom's first central bank — prior to that, currency matters fell under direct royal administration. The Snake occupies the sixth position in the Tibetan-influenced twelve-year cycle observed in Bhutanese culture, where it carries associations with wisdom rather than the ambivalence it holds in Western traditions.
KM#292 is a 2025 issue and attribution is preliminary pending full NGC/PCGS population data.
