| Reverse description | The back presents a richly illustrated multicolour vignette in copper-brown and blue tones, enclosed within the same oak-leaf border as the obverse. Five local architectural views of Torgau — including the Hartenfels Castle on the Elbe, a town-square streetscape with a standing armoured figure monument, the Kreishaus, and a historic church with adjacent half-timbered buildings — are arranged around a central oval medallion. Two curling ribbon banners bearing validity and redemption texts weave diagonally across the composition, while the denomination numeral '500' is placed prominently at the top centre and a counterfeiting-penalty notice in block lettering occupies the lower centre. |
