| Obverse description | Right-facing bust of Saparmurat Türkmenbaşy, first and lifelong President of Turkmenistan, rendered in high relief against a mirror-polished field. The portrait is unadorned and naturalistically styled, occupying the central area of the coin. A wreath of laurel or olive branches frames the lower portion of the portrait.
