正面描述	At centre-left, an intaglio portrait of Ștefan cel Mare faces right, set against a multicoloured guilloche underprint with three vertical decorative elements and a central rosette; the state Coat of Arms of the Republic of Moldova appears at upper left, accompanied by the inscriptions REPUBLICA MOLDOVA and BANCA NAȚIONALĂ A MOLDOVEI. The nominal value 500 is rendered in figures at left and right, with CINCI SUTE LEI in words, alongside the NBM logo, the facsimile signature of Governor D. Drăguțanu, the circle wording PE-UN PICIOR DE PLAI, PE-O GURĂ DE RAI…, the victory token V, the year of issue 1992, banknote series and serial number, and the statutory inscription FALSIFICAREA ACESTOR BILETE SE PEDEPSEȘTE CONFORM LEGILOR.
