| Obverse description | Central field depicts a detailed frontal view of Pha That Luang (the Great Stupa), the national symbol of Laos, rendered with fine architectural detail including the characteristic tiered spire, surrounding cloister walls, decorative pinnacles, and flanking lamp posts. The legend BANK OF THE LAO PDR arcs along the upper periphery, while the denomination 500 KIP appears in the lower field. Metal specifications 28.28 g and Ag 925 are inscribed on the left and right sides respectively, between an inner beaded border and the smooth outer rim. |
