| Obverse description | Printed in red and green, the obverse carries a central guilloche-patterned field of repeating triangular motifs with a vignette of a bearded deity in imperial regalia at the right, set within an ornate cartouche. A rectangular panel at the left bears the denomination inscription 伍佰 (five hundred) in Chinese characters, while the bank title 冥都銀行 appears in a framed cartouche at the top centre flanked by stylised dragon scrollwork. The inscription 天堂地府一律通用 runs along the lower border, and the numeral 500 appears in each lower corner. |
