| Aanvullende informatie |
Benin issues coins under the BCEAO framework — the West African Economic and Monetary Union — meaning it holds no independent minting authority and produces no circulating coinage of its own. This piece, like virtually all modern Beninese numismatic output, was contracted to a European private mint and sold directly to collectors. It never circulated in Cotonou or anywhere else.
