Reverse description Central intaglio vignette by Duval and engraved by Deloche portrays two women in a North African rural landscape: one seated on the ground arranging pottery vessels, the other standing with a large jar balanced on her head, set against a panoramic hillside background. Two unprinted oval watermark windows flank the central scene, framed by ornate arabesque guilloche borders. The denomination 500 appears in large numerals at lower left and lower right, with Arabic script inscriptions running along the bottom margin.
