| 备注 |
The Jordan Currency Board was established under the Jordan Currency Law of 1949, replacing the Palestine Currency Board notes that had continued circulating in the new Hashemite Kingdom after partition. This 500 Fils note belongs to the board's first and only series — the JCB was dissolved when the Central Bank of Jordan was created in 1964, making the entire issue short-lived by design.
Thomas De La Rue's involvement was essentially inherited from the Palestine mandate period, when the same London printer had handled currency for the region under British administration. The 500 Fils denomination reflects the decimal structure adopted at independence: one Jordanian Dinar divided into 1,000 Fils.
