The effigy is flanked by a wreath of oak and laurel branches tied at the base, with the AH date ١٣٣٢ inscribed in Arabic numerals at the bottom of the field. | Beschrijving keerzijde | Central device depicts the imperial Iranian lion passant to the right, holding a sword upright in its right forepaw, with a radiant rising sun emerging from its back — the traditional Shir-o-Khorshid (Lion and Sun) emblem of the Qajar dynasty. The Kiani crown is displayed above the lion and sun motif. The AH date ١٣٣٢ is divided across the exergual line beneath the lion. A wreath of oak and olive branches frames the central device on both sides, tied at the base. The denomination پانصد دینار (500 Dinars) is inscribed in Arabic script in the lower exergue beneath the dividing line. |
