The lion and sun device is framed by a wreath of olive and oak branches tied at the base. Below the lion, the denomination '۵۰۰ دینار' (500 Dinars) is inscribed, with the Solar Hijri date '۱۳۳۰' (1330 AH / 1912 AD) appearing in the exergue beneath the wreath.
