Description de l’avers	Portrait orientation. The upper portion bears the full issuer legend REPÚBLICA BOLIVARIANA DE VENEZUELA, with the denomination numeral 500 and the words QUINIENTOS BOLÍVARES below, accompanied by the payment clause PAGADEROS AL PORTADOR EN LAS OFICINAS DEL BANCO, the date, and the signatories' facsimiles. At lower center, an intaglio vignette of Simón Bolívar after the portrait by Philippe Froesch, with the numeral 500 beneath; the reserved watermark zone occupies the right margin. Serial numbers appear at upper right and lower left, the latter rotated 90 degrees clockwise.
