| Obverse description | Printed in dark blue on pale brownish paper with a fine guilloche underprint, this uniface Notgeld note carries the heading "Notgeldschein des Freistaates Mecklenburg-Schwerin" at the top, with the denomination "Fünfhunderttausend Mark" in large Gothic blackletter script and the numeral "500000" repeated at lower left and right. A circular official seal of the Mecklenburg-Schwerinsches Staatsministerium appears at lower left, accompanied by five facsimile ministry signatures below the issuer's name and the date "Schwerin, den 10. August 1923." A large circular cancellation stamp inscribed "FREISTAAT MECKLENBURG SCHWERIN" is struck across the centre of the face. |
