| Descrizione del dritto | Printed in grey-green and black on plain paper, the obverse is framed by an ornate letterpress border of interlaced foliate and diamond motifs. The issuer's title 'Landkreis Neuß' appears in a Gothic blackletter panel at the top, below which the denomination 'Fünfhunderttausend Mark' is set in large bold Fraktur script against a fine guilloche underprint. A legal tender clause in smaller Fraktur type, the issue date 'Neuß, 15. Aug. 1923', a manuscript signature of the Landrat on behalf of the Kreisausschuss, and the denomination repeated as 'Mark 500 000 Mark' in the lower border panel complete the design. |

| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse is printed in a uniform grey-green tone and carries no text beyond the central denomination. The design is entirely typographic and ornamental: a large diamond-shaped cartouche with elaborate scrollwork arabesques at its upper and lower points frames the central horizontal band, in which '500000 Mark' is rendered in bold white-reserve Gothic lettering flanked by six-pointed star devices. The background is filled with fine horizontal line guilloche work, enclosed within a multi-rule and sawtooth outer border. |
