The denomination 'Fünfhunderttausend Mark' is set in large ornate Gothic blackletter script at centre, above a text clause stating payment by the Kreissparkasse Adenau to the bearer. The upper-left corner carries a heraldic shield vignette with a lion passant, and the upper-right corner bears a second armorial device; two circular official cachets reading 'LANDRAT ADENAU' with an eagle motif flank three manuscript signatures below the issuing authority designations. The date 'Adenau, den 31. Juli 1923' appears in the lower centre, with a serial number strip along the left margin. |
