备注	Rottweil's 500,000 Mark note is Notgeld — emergency municipal currency issued as hyperinflation dismantled the Reichsmark's purchasing power in 1923. By mid-year, the Reichsbank simply could not print fast enough to meet demand, and hundreds of German cities and towns took matters into their own hands. Rottweil, one of Baden-Württemberg's oldest towns, was no exception. Municipal Notgeld of this denomination was typically short-lived in circulation — within weeks of issue, inflation rendered even 500,000 Mark notes functionally worthless, and higher denominations followed in rapid succession.
