Obverse description The central intaglio vignette presents a formal bust portrait of King Rama IX (Bhumibol Adulyadej) and Queen Sirikit in three-quarter profile facing right, set over a gold-toned guilloche underprint with subsidiary ceremonial royal vignettes at lower left and right. A circular photographic portrait of the King is positioned at upper right within a decorative cartouche.
